The Feast of Saint George
As the weather becomes warmer and the trees and flowers start to bloom I inevitably think of the feast of St. George which according to a popular Romanian legend is the day when the saint opens the door to summer. St. Andrew’s Day, of which I have blogged previously, is the day in which St. Andrew opens the door to winter.
