Fish Scale Luck and Money Drawing Spell

, , | Spells | 6 Comments »

In many Eastern European cultures, fish scales are associated with wealth and abundance.

In many Eastern European cultures, fish scales are associated with wealth and abundance and are a common ingredient in many money drawing spells and rituals.  Many spiritually inclined people from western countries do not know this and I only discovered it when I spent time in Romania and began to study their folklore and magic.  The following spell is meant to bring success in business as well as draw money into your life from all possible sources.

You will need:

Fish scales (obtained from a local fish market)

A green or gold candle

A penny or similar small coin

A small envelope

Place the fish scales and the penny inside the envelope and seal.

Place the candle in a candle holder and set on top of the envelope and light.

Stretch your arm out over the candle and speak the following invocation, “As this candle burns, may this packet be charged with the energy of abundance to send money and general wealth flowing into my life.  So be it!”

Allow the candle to burn out completely and then place the envelope in a discrete spot in your home or place of business and allow it to release its powerful money drawing energy.

The Power of Salt Water Baths

A simple salt water bath can do wonders for you spiritually and emotionally

Bath PreparationIn recent weeks, many people have been telling me how everything seems blocked or stagnant in their lives and true progress and good luck seem to elude them.  In such situations, what I recommend most often is a simple salt water bath.  I have posted on this subject before, but lately it seems to be coming up again and again and many people even doubt the efficacy of something so simple.  I am here to reiterate the fact that a simple salt water bath can do wonders for you spiritually and emotionally.  Submerging yourself in salt water removes blockages, neutralizes the evil eye, chases away negative spirits and general cleanses away all that holds us back from progress and success in life.

Everything that surrounds us has energy, people, plants, animals; the very environment in which we live and breathe is composed of energy.  This energy is constantly bouncing around and leaving a residue on all that it touches.  Over time this can build up and turn into what I call “psychic sludge.”  It is also a sad fact that many people harbor jealousy and other negative feelings towards us that can be spiritually, emotionally and physically damaging.  Remember that spiritual health and physical health are related and what is done to the soul is reflected in the body and vice versa.  So, therefore it is a good idea to perform a simple spiritual cleansing at least once a month.

Start by adding an entire box of salt to a tub full of water and soak as you normally would.  Salt is a great neutralizer.  It takes away negativity, psychic sludge, bad luck and even chases away chaotic or harmful spirits and energies.  Many cultures and religions even use salt in exorcism rituals.

Stay as long as you’d like in the bathtub and make sure that you submerge yourself completely or at least pour some of the salt water over your head.

Before leaving the tub, say a quick prayer, for example: With this salt water bath, I cleanse away all psychic sludge, bad luck and negativity.  I am powerful and clean!  This is just an example, you may use any words you’d like or if there is a prayer appropriate to your religious or spiritual beliefs, you may use it.  If you don’t have a bath or prefer showers, you can simply stand in the running shower and scrub yourself with handfuls of salt and as the shower washes the salt away, recite the prayer.

I can’t state enough that such a simple practice makes a huge difference.  If you try this simple cleansing, please let me know of the positive changes you notice in your life.  If you’d prefer a professional spiritual cleaning or unblocking, you may contact me as well!

May your life be filled with abundant blessings!

Saint Valentine’s Day

, , | Holidays, Saints and Spirits | No Comments »

Saint_ValentineIn the last few days of January and on into February, store shelves are inevitably filled with red and pink hearts filled with chocolates and teddy bears with outstretched arms.  This of course is in observance of Valentine’s Day.  We all know this day is associated with love and relationships and is a time to exchange gifts, chocolates and other treats as well as spend time with the special people in our lives.  In recent days, as I’ve noticed the usual Valentine’s paraphernalia piling up in store windows, I’ve realized that despite the romantic connotations there are hardly any love spells or rituals associated with this day and the few I have been able to find have been invented quite recently.  This prompted me to explore the origins and traditions of Valentine’s Day a bit more to understand why so few magical traditions are associated with this day.

February 14th is the feast day of Saint Valentine, an obscure 3rd century martyr about whom virtually nothing is known.  Some sources claim that he was a bishop in the early church.  All that is known for sure is that there was a Christian martyr named Valentinus who died in Rome on the 14th of February 269 AD.  The feast of Saint Valentine was established by Pope Gelasius I in 496 and his veneration spread throughout the universal church.  He is today venerated in Eastern Orthodoxy, Roman Catholicism and even the Lutheran and Anglican churches maintained his feast day after the Reformation.

Many historians believe that the association between lovers and St. Valentine can be traced back to the early days of Christianity when the church often tried to absorb pagan holidays and replace them with Christian observances.  In Southern Europe spring comes early and many species of birds start to nest by mid-February and ancient Romans associated this time of year with acts of love.  The institution of the Feast of St. Valentine could have been an attempt to substitute a pagan feast with a day honoring the martyr Valentine and over time the association of love and romance transferred from previous pagan observances to St. Valentine’s Day.  This association between lovers and St. Valentine’s Day reemerged in the late Middle Ages in the writings of Geoffrey Chaucer during a time when the idea of courtly love was very much en vogue.  Beginning with Chaucer’s writings, the idea of St. Valentine’s Day being a day for lovers extended throughout the English speaking world and has only in recent years spread to other countries and cultures, many of which had previously existing traditions regarding days for lovers.

It was not until the Victorian and Edwardian ages that many of the symbols associated with this holiday came into being, red and pink hearts, images of cupid, gifts of chocolate and jewelry can all be traced to the late 1800’s and early 1900’s.  Really from the beginning, Valentine’s Day has been more of a cultural and social observance as opposed to a religious one which explains the lack of rituals and magical practices associated with this day despite it bearing the name of a saint.  You can however invent you own rituals to draw and strengthen love and perform them on February 14th when so much positive love based energy abounds.  I wish you a happy and love filled Valentine’s Day and a life filled with abundant blessings.

Psychic Vampires

Although psychic vampirism can be annoying and potentially dangerous, we are far from helpless!

Saint Peter holding the keys to the kingdom.Peace be with you my friends!  Today I’ve decided to write about a topic that I have been seeing more and more in my work as a spiritual counselor and in the world in general-Psychic Vampires.  This term really has two definitions.  First, it can describe a living person who either consciously or unconsciously feeds off of the life energy of other living persons to satisfy a need that cannot be met by other means of sustenance (Food or vitamin supplements).  Secondly, a psychic vampire can be an incorporeal spirit that attaches itself to a living person and debilitates him/her possibly to the point of illness or death!  This category is far more dangerous.

I would like to clarify that the majority of living psychic vampires are respectable, ethical people who would never take the energy of another living person without his/her consent.  There are however psy-vamps with sociopathic personalities that would think nothing of draining a person to the point of exhaustion to meet their own selfish needs.  I have a close friend who worked at a well known interior design firm.  Her supervisor was a spiteful, vindictive woman who loved to criticize and spread rumors about her.  This woman would find excuses to be close to my friend, which was odd, since she seemed to dislike her so much.  The more contact my friend had with this woman, the weaker she felt.  Until one morning while getting ready for work, she passed out and was rushed to the hospital.  There she was diagnosed with lymphatic cancer!  I believe that the supervisor was an unscrupulous psychic vampire that was consciously draining my friend of her vital energies.  Prolonged exposure to such an individual can indeed lead to exhaustion, a weakened immune system, nervous disorders, depression and in extreme cases, even death!  Thankfully, my friend made a full recovery and is strong and healthy today.  She now owns her own interior design business on Cape Cod.

The second category of psychic vampire is far more common and dangerous.  Just as people can be good or evil to varying degrees, the same is true for the spirit world.  It is quite common for evil spirits to attach themselves to a person and drain them of their energies resulting in a condition of spiritual, mental or physical weakness.  There is much truth to ancient beliefs that evil spirits are the cause of sickness.  I feel that such entities can weaken a person’s immune system and make him/her more susceptible to germs.  It’s no wonder that people with a strong spiritual belief tend to live longer.  Their faith surrounds them with a healing light of protection that keeps negative spirits away.

Now, I would like to say that we are not helpless against psychic vampirism.  It is indeed quite easy to defend ourselves against psychic attack.  As we’ve all seen in countless Dracula movies, the Transylvanian peasant inevitably holds up a crucifix to ward off an approaching bloodsucker.  And with good reason!  Religious symbols, no matter from what faith, items such as-crosses, bibles, verses from the Koran, the Torah, the Hand of Fatimah, the Wiccan pentagram, Hindu statues etc. are all very effective in warding off evil if accompanied by a strong spiritual belief.  Certain herbs/plants such as garlic, mountain ash and bay berries are particularly effective in warding off evil spirits.  I have a friend who places garlic cloves and little piles of salt on her window sill for protection against troublesome spirits that live in the cemetery next to her home.  In more stubborn cases, an herbal bath known as a “rompemiento” or “lave tet” may be performed to separate the vampiric spirit from its host and send it away.  Also, if we build up our relationship with our spirit guides and elevate them with candles, prayers and offerings, they in turn will become our fierce protectors against malevolent entities.  So although psychic vampirism can be annoying and potentially dangerous, we are far from helpless!

If you feel you may be the victim of a vampire attack, please contact me and I can assess the situation with a reading and figure out how to go about banishing the spirit that may be debilitating you.  As always if you have any questions or would like to request my services, please do not hesitate to be in touch.  I wish you good health, peace and blessings!

A Feast for All Saints

It’s a time of celebration and excitement!

Guy Fawkes -A Feast for All SaintsPeace be with you my friends.  The past several days have been a time of frantic euphoria from which I am still recovering.  I just wanted to share a few photos with you and describe some of the amazing activities I and a group of my friends undertook on Halloween, All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day.

I designed a ritual based of the Guy Fawkes Night traditions common throughout the United Kingdom.  You can read more about Guy Fawkes by clicking on the link above, but I will just say briefly that Guy Fawkes was a 17th century revolutionary who unsuccessfully attempted to blow up Parliament in the notorious gunpowder plot.  He was captured and executed and to this day the British people burn him in effigy to commemorate his failed attempt.  Guy Fawkes Night is November 5th and is often seen as a continuation of the Halloween festivities.  I’ve always liked the idea of Guy Fawkes festivities and several years ago I developed a prosperity ritual depicted in these photos.  I make a life sized doll and stuff it with hay as well as several money drawing herbs and folded spirit money, then decorate  it with dollar and euros symbols as well as Chinese characters for wealth and prosperity and then set it on fire to release the wealth and luck drawing energy.  I have consistently had good luck with the service for myself and others and am happy to perform it any time on request.

Since we were in my friend Flaviu’s ancestral village, we visited the local cemetery where his grandparents are buried and decorated the graves with flowers and candles as is the custom here for All Saints’ Day.  While at the cemetery, I also made a service for my departed family members by placing sugar skulls, which I had previously handmade, on a nearby grave and lighting a candle next to each one asking that their journey toward Paradise be peaceful and fast.   When we finished decorating the graves and saying our prayers, we decided to take some photos.  You will notice in the photos that several orbs appeared throughout the picture, which is a sign of high spiritual energy.  I take this to mean that the spirits and ancestors were pleased with our offerings.

In addition to performing many services for ourselves and clients and attending church services on the 1st and 2nd, there was also a fun party atmosphere as is to be expected this time of year.  I cooked a tremendous amount of food and my apartment was filled with guests.  Among the many dishes I prepared were Huesos de Santo and Buñuelos de Todos los Santos, two traditional desserts from Spain, the recipes for which I learned while living in Madrid in the early 2000’s.  It is said that every time you eat one of these mini pastries, a soul is released from Purgatory.  My guests and I probably released at least fifty!

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.  I will be back soon with articles on different spiritual topics once I have fully rested and recuperated. I do absolutely love this time of year as we heard towards Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s.
