Peace be with you, my friends! I can’t believe the summer is half over. We are fast approaching the busiest time of the year for all spiritual workers, the late summer and fall. In August, we have the Feast of the Hungry Ghosts followed by the Harvest Moon and mid-Autumn lunar festival in September and of course Halloween, All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days in October and November. The preparation for all of these holidays really begins now and things don’t slow down until November. But that’s perfectly fine because it brings me tremendous happiness to be close to my spirits and saints during all of these wonderful festivities. Recently, I went to Italy with my friend Flaviu for a few days. We were mostly in the south of Italy in and around Salerno. We had the privilege of spending a day in Pompeii, an ancient city that was destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD. Following are a few pictures from the Pompeii ruins.
Pompeii, an ancient city destroyed by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 AD
In a very short amount of time the entire city was covered by an avalanche of volcanic rock and ash and thousands of people perished. The city was discovered once again in the early 18th century and has been in excavation ever since. The victims of Mt. Vesuvius’s eruption were entombed in fiery ash and many centuries later it was discovered that if workers poured plaster into cavities in the earth, an exact replica of a person would emerge once the dirt and ash were cleared away. Today you can see these statues of the former residents of Pompeii during their final moments of life in Pompeii and various museums throughout Italy.
Both Flaviu and I are psychics and mediums so naturally when visiting the Pompeii ruins we were bombarded by images from other time periods and we both got the impression that many former inhabitants of Pompeii are still there reliving the days before the eruption and they often catch glimpses of tourists shuffling through their homes when the veil between the spiritual and physical worlds wears thin. At the temple of Isis I sensed the ghost of a Roman girl making an offering at the ruined altar. I knew psychically that her name was Claudia. She walked passed more and spoke some words in Latin that I did not understand, but I knew that she was making the offering to Isis so that she could get out of an arranged marriage that she was dreading. I also knew that Claudia, her finance that she did not love and indeed her entire family died in the eruption before the wedding could take place. I said a prayer for her soul to find peace and I hope she now has found that a better world awaits her far from the ruins of Pompeii.
I hope you enjoy the photos of Pompeii. I just wanted to share a few words about my trip with you and now I will return to work preparing for the spiritual festivities of the weeks and months to come. Until next time, I wish you peace, love and an abundance of blessings.
